Cookies are small values that a website or service asks a browser to store. Scripts, pixels and other browser technologies can perform related functions. This Cookie Policy explains the technologies controlled by the Violinhop theme, the optional service categories and the choices available to you.

1. Categories used by this website

Necessary

Necessary functionality is always active. It supports essential privacy preferences, security and core site operation. The preference control itself must be able to remember whether optional categories were accepted or rejected.

Analytics

Analytics is off by default. If configured, this category may include Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity and Google Tag Manager when the administrator explicitly assigns the container to Analytics.

Marketing

Marketing is off by default. If configured, this category may include Meta Pixel and Google Tag Manager when the container is assigned to Marketing. Marketing is the default category for Google Tag Manager because its separately configured container can contain additional tags.

External Media

External Media is off by default. The current theme uses this category for the Spotify embedded player.

2. First-party preference cookie

The cookie stores schema version 2 and true-or-false category values. It does not intentionally contain a name, email address, account identity, random tracking identifier or fingerprint. It is readable by the theme’s browser script so the site can verify that a preference was saved; it is not described as HttpOnly.

3. Your choices

• Accept All enables Analytics, Marketing and External Media.
• Reject All leaves every optional category disabled. Rejection is still a saved preference.
• Manage Preferences lets you select the optional categories individually. Necessary remains active.
• Cookie Preferences in the footer lets you revisit and change your choice later.

Opening or closing the preferences panel does not itself grant permission. After a saved change, the page reloads so the server can apply the new choice before emitting any configured optional integration. Withdrawal prevents future theme-controlled loading after the new choice is applied; it cannot undo data already transmitted before withdrawal.

4. Third-party cookies and storage

After you allow the relevant category, a configured provider may use its own cookies or similar storage. This can include Google Analytics 4 or Microsoft Clarity for Analytics, Meta Pixel for Marketing, tags delivered through the configured Google Tag Manager container, and Spotify for the embedded player. Exact third-party names, purposes and lifetimes are determined by those providers and the live account or container configuration. Consult the provider’s own privacy and cookie information for current details.

5. Requests that are not automatically Violinhop cookies

A browser request to a third party is not automatically a cookie set by Violinhop. The current site may request Google Fonts, YouTube thumbnail images, Apple-hosted artwork and Spreadshirt product images. The receiving provider may still process ordinary connection information according to its own practices.

Apple catalog or iTunes release lookup and Spreadshop product synchronization are primarily server-to-server operations. They are distinct from browser requests for artwork or product images and from a visitor following an external link.

6. Browser controls

Most browsers allow you to inspect, delete or block cookies and related storage. Browser-wide blocking may affect essential WordPress functions or features offered by external services. Deleting vh_cookie_preferences causes the site to ask for your preferences again.

7. Changes and contact

This Cookie Policy may be updated when site categories, providers, purposes, storage practices or applicable requirements change. Questions can be sent through the website’s Contact page.
